Functions as a charge nurse responsible for assigning patients to and monitoring the work of nurses within the unit on assigned shift and to assist the Clinical Manager in the supervision of assigned employees on shift. The position also carries a patient load and applies the nursing process to deliver basic, safe, therapeutic care, for individuals or groups of patients in a Trauma Emergency setting.
Education/Experience: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in a Emergency setting.
Licensing/Certification Requirements: Valid License by the Nevada State Board of Nursing to Practice as a Registered Nurse; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC), Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) and Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) certifications.
