Develops, implements and evaluates programs or educational content for nursing and non-nursing hospital staff. Duties include designing educational programs, assessing staff proficiency in subject area, developing curricula, and instructing.
Education/Experience: Graduation from an accredited nursing school and two (2) years of clinical nursing experience.
Licensing/Certification Requirements: Valid license from the State of Nevada to Practice as a Registered Nurse; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Some positions may require certification as a Basic Life Support Instructor or Instructor Certification in Specialty. Some positions may require Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Additional and/or Preferred Position Requirements
Previous experience in Clinical Education in an acute care or large hospital setting
Critical Care clinical instructor (unit based educator).
Three (3) years of recent Pediatrics / Pediatric critical care experience.
One to Two (1-2) years recent educator experience.
