Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
o Independently see and treat children from birth to age 21 in outpatient setting (history taking, physical exams, and clinical decision making) o Rotate as on-call provider (telephone calls only) o Patient and parent education o Evening and weekend clinics required
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner degree from accredited School of Nursing o Current RN and PNP license in New York state o Eligible for PNP certification boards (ANCC or PNCB) o DEA certification o Experience with caring for children in primary care setting o Ability to work with pediatric patients from birth to age 21 o Ability to function as independent provider o Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient o Ability to manage and operate equipment safely and correctly o Ability to function under stressful situations o Ability to function and communicate with other staff o Flexibility o Organized approach to tasks o Bilingual (Spanish) desirable
