Pediatric Nurse Practitioner- Primary Care Practice
February 12, 2018
Full Time - Experienced
Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
We are an independent primary care practice with approximately 11,000 active patients, encompassing a very diverse population. We are expanding our practice, and are looking for a pediatric nurse practitioner to join us this spring in our new space. We are looking for someone who wants to work in a team environment. Our providers see both scheduled patients for wellness and routine care, as well as walk-in patients for acute issues. We use a pediatric specific EHR system.
We are a certified Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance– an official indication of our understanding that medical care must meet each family's specific needs and dynamics. All of our team members, from our board certified physicians and nurse practitioners to our office staff, provide the highest level of pediatric care combined with compassionate concern for the overall welfare of our patients and their families.
We have several unique programs at our office for the management of certain problems and chronic conditions. Our asthma program is lead by two of our NPs and certified asthma educators, and has a goal to connect with asthma patients and their families to help them better understand and manage their care. Our nutrition program partners one of our NPs with a dietician to manage a wide variety of patients’ nutritional concerns, including obesity, feeding tubes, diabetes, and failure to thrive.
We also have a lactation program, through which our providers and certified lactation consultants care for both moms and their babies. We believe in the importance of breastfeeding, and recognize that breastfeeding initially can be one of the most challenging parts of caring for a new baby, and yet, it can be one of the most rewarding aspects. We provide a warm, caring environment to support and encourage mothers’ breastfeeding goals.
We offer competitive salaries based on experience, and excellent benefits:
Medical, dental, and life insurance
401(k) with 3% safe harbor contribution
Paid time off (PTO)
Annual CE allowance
Professional liability insurance
Candidates must be currently licensed as a nurse practitioner in the state of Illinois, and have a current DEA.
