Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
The Coordinator for Sutter Children's Center-Outpatient Services/SCN Developmental Follow Up Clinics serves as the coordinator for the clinic and provides nurse practitioner services for infant and child patients of the Clinic
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
Master of Science or Master's Degree in Nursing required.
Current License as a Register Nurse in the State of California required.
Current License as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the State of California.
Current CPR Certification required.
CCS Panel Provider Status is preferred.
Non-Physician Medical Staff Privileging with Sutter Medical Center Sacramento Medical Staff within one year of hire.
Minimum of two years prior experience in hospital acute/critical care nursing of which at least one year is in the area of pediatrics providing direct patient care to infants and children up to age three (3) years of age is required.
Prior experience in a pediatric outpatient setting is required.
Program coordination or team leading experience is required.
Supervisory experience is preferred.
Experience working in a pediatric multidisciplinary team preferred.
Previous experience working as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner preferred.
Financial, systems and/or marketing experience is preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of pediatrics and infant/child development is required.
Knowledge of the unique concerns and developmental issues of the premature infant is required.
Knowledge of how adults, adolescents, and children learn is required.
Knowledge of community health resources and managed care is required.
Program development, implementation and evaluation knowledge is preferred.
Knowledge of Bayley Scales of Development is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with adults and children is required.
Must have verbal skills to elicit complaints from various socioeconomic groups.
Must have skills to evaluate and assess infant/child physical, neurological and developmental status.
Must possess excellent organization skills and have the ability to be self-directed and able to act independently demonstrating sound judgment.
Demonstrated ability to operationalize programs is required.
Must have ability to work in a collaborative role with other disciplines.
