Job Summary: Provide comprehensive evaluations for children and adolescents who may be victims of physical or sexual abuse, or neglect. Function independently with indirect oversight by a child abuse pediatrician. Provides medical expertise to a care team consisting of social workers and regional child welfare agencies. NP would see patients in two of three office locations.
Graduate of an Accredited Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program with Board Certification (ANCC), BCLS, PALS (ACLS and NALS optional)
The position requires skills in working with children and families in crisis situations, understanding family dynamics, and has a strong background in pediatrics, either outpatient or critical care
Will need to complete the Medical Training Academy provided by the Mid-West Regional CAC
Will need to apply for prescriptive authority with the PA Board of Nursing
Must be eligible to apply for a DEA number
Must have current CPR/BLS certification
