Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
Well-established pediatric group practice is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatric NP) to join our family. We are seeking a passionate Psychiatric NP who is committed to providing high quality, patient-centered, evidence-based care to the children of Fairfield County, CT.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, flexible call schedule shared among our many providers and supported by a nurse triage service, and a three or four day a week work schedule with one evening shift a week and one weekend a month.
The Psychiatric NP will work with children and adolescents experiencing simple to complex psychiatric needs and their families. The Psychiatric NP should be skilled at assessing the psychosocial status of patients by interview, health history, physical exam, diagnostic tests, as well as be proficient in participating in a team approach to treatment. The Psychiatric NP is expected to contribute to quality and patient satisfaction improvement initiatives.

Masters Level of nursing required. Graduation from an accredited Advanced Nurse Practitioner program required. In addition, holds a BSN degree from an accredited institution
Psychiatric/ Mental Health NP required
1-3 years of APRN clinical psychiatric experience with children and adolescents required
Certified as an APRN by the Nursing Certification Board or American Nurses Credentialing Center. Must hold a valid State Controlled Substance Registration, a Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certification, a valid State RN and APRN license. May hold a State Independent Practice license if qualified.
