Kootenai Health, located in Coeur d’Alene, ID, is Patient Safety Risk Manager!

Kootenai Health is seeking a Patient Safety Risk Manager to not only manage claims but also identify trends and activity to support a successful, protected environment for patients.
In your role as the Patient Safety Risk Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations of risk management including coordination of all claims. You will identify and analyze loss exposures, perform risk assessments, and implement risk mitigation plans. You will exercise your keen analytical skills to develop, run, review and present risk management reports to designated committees and work teams and will maintain accurate and detailed records and claims filed. You will assist in response to requests for interrogatories related to claims and litigation. You will coordinate employed physician risk management education and orientation and are responsible for conducting and completing follow-up for the Root Cause Analysis processes. While you are given the professional autonomy to execute your job, you will have a strong network of professionals to partner with from Patient Advocacy to Quality. To be successful in this role, you will need:
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of 4 years' healthcare experience. Risk Manager experience preferred.
Knowledge of ID Notice of Tort regulations required.
Experience with litigations is preferred.
Root Cause Analysis experience is preferred.
