Position Overview
CHOC Children’s Specialists is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join the Neurology Division in an inpatient-focused role.
This is a new position tied to programmatic growth and increasing inpatient volume, identified through a business plan currently in progress. The APP will function as a clinical expert in pediatric neurology, delivering comprehensive, family-centered care while collaborating closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.
This role is 100% inpatient and is not tied to headache services, with a primary focus on supporting expanding inpatient neurology needs.
Candidate Qualifications
Required:
Active California NP or PA license
National board certification
DEA registration
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and ACLS
Pediatric clinical experience
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
Core Skills:
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Ability to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
Commitment to high-quality, safe, and family-centered care

Salary Range:
$141,794 – $233,958
Compensation is determined by multiple factors, including experience, education, skills, internal equity, and position requirements.
