DescriptionPediatric Nurse Practitioner
Waco Family Medicine
Primary Duties:
- Must have a genuine desire to continuously learn and provide high quality patient care
- Seeing ambulatory patients of the Center as scheduled and assigned by Center
- Maintain full privileges for practice of clinical medicine at Family Health Center
- Abide by the ethics of the medical profession and all federal, state and local laws and ordinances applicable to his/her practice
- Participate in committees/work groups as assigned
- May participate in quality improvement projects
- Other duties as assigned
Other Duties:
- Assist in the Center's provision of health education and health promotion programs including but not limited to such groups as the Center's patients, physicians, staff, and/or community residents.
- Other duties as assigned by the Medical Director and/or Center management.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Visual and auditory accuracy

- Occasionally pushing, pulling and positioning (with assistance) patients over 200 lbs
- Occasional exposure to electrical, chemical, gaseous and dusty conditions
- Occasional exposure to patients with communicable diseases
- Understand/carry out simple/detailed, oral/written instructions
- Memorize and retain instructions
- Read and interpret detailed specifications
- Able to respond quickly and calmly in medical emergencies

Geographic Information
Waco is a mid-sized city in Central Texas. It is situated on the I-35 corridor between Dallas and Austin. Qualifications Needed
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner degree program.
- Board eligible or Board certification required.
- Current or pending license to practice medicine in the state of Texas.
- Current BLS certification
Skills
- Provision of clinical healthcare services for clients in an ambulatory clinic setting.
- Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred, though not required.
